Craig Road Shared Use Path- US 2 to 6th Ave. Advertisement for Bid- Airway Heights, WA

The City of Airway Heights has completed the design and currently in the bidding phase for the Craig Road Shared-Use Path US 2 to 6th Ave project, located on the West side of Craig Road. The construction project bid range is estimated at $650,000 – $750,000. The project is being funded with a partnership between Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety Program grant, Spokane Tribe of Indians, and the City of Airway Heights. This Contract provides for Craig Road multimodal improvements consisting of a shared-use path, along with ADA ramps, pedestrian crossings with rectangular rapid flash crossing beacons, and future Spokane Transit Authority (STA) bus stops.

The project is currently soliciting bids with bid openings set for July 17th, 2024. Bidding Documents may be viewed online by registering with the https://www.questcdn.com/online- bidding/ (Quest CDN), Quest reference no. 9094205.

Construction will begin in August with completion in the Fall of 2024. The traveling public can anticipate Craig Rd to remain open with traffic control strategies such as shoulder closures, alternating one-lane with two-way traffic control, and intermittent impacts to cross streets and business approaches.
