City is Seeking Volunteers for Fire Station Bond Measure For and Against Committee

The Airway Heights City Council recently approved an ordinance to place a bond measure on the August 1, 2023 Primary Election ballot. If approved by voters, the funding will be used to renovate a property on South Garfield Avenue to include a fire station.

The Airway Heights City Council is seeking volunteers to write For and Against statements for the August 1, 2023 Primary Election voters pamphlet.

• Members should be available to work together to draft these statements.

• Based on deadlines set by the Spokane County Auditor’s Office, the names of each committee member must be submitted to the County by May 12th.

• Statements are due by May 19th  at 1:00 pm. For/Against rebuttals are due May 22nd.

• Each committee can consist of 3 members but can also ask the advice of other individuals.
