Citizen Grievance Procedures

The City of Airway Heights is dedicated to provide responsible and responsive service to our customers and to do so in a nondiscrimination way. Every citizen must be treated equally regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age, or disabilities. Any customer that feels they have been discriminated against is encouraged to file a complaint. Complaints can be filed in writing at the front desk at City Hall or by mail to 1208 S. Lundstrom, Airway Heights, WA 99001.

Complaints will be investigated by the City Manager or the Human Resources Manager. If a City staff member is found to have discriminated against a citizen the City will take the appropriate discipline. Unless the complaint was anonymous the citizen will be contacted within 10 business days and informed of the results of the investigation and any discipline that was taken.
