Application Process Applications may be picked up at and returned to the Airway Heights City Hall, 1208 S. Lundstrom Street, Airway Heights, WA 99001. Applicants who submit resumes also must submit the applicable City of Airway Heights employment application form and any additional materials as stated on the specific job announcement. Please check to make sure that the position has not closed and identify the title of the position for which you wish to apply. Allow sufficient time for mailing as applications must be postmarked as received by 5:00 p.m. on the closing date.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II
The City is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II. Duties encompass all phases of operation of the City’s Water Reclamation Plant. Position will be responsible for equipment maintenance and operation, process control, lab work, sampling, housekeeping and other duties as assigned. Salary range is $3802 - $4537/month. The City is recruiting for a Permit Facilitator. Essential duties are to provide administrative assistance to City Building Inspectors, include answering telephones, providing assistance and information to customers regarding permits; performing mathematical calculations; performing preliminary review of site plans and permit applications for completeness and general conformance to City regulations; processing and routing permit documentation to the appropriate offices; scheduling inspections; preparing and submitting reports; and other duties as directed by the Senior Building Inspector. Peripheral duties include preparing and filing correspondence, permits, reports, letters, memoranda, forms, and other information; assists in the tracking of code enforcement actions, including notifications and timelines; and accepting and receipting of payments. Requires a high school diploma, or GED, and 2-years of construction office experience, or an Associates Degree or 2-years technical training in construction management or a related field. ICC Permit Technician Certification is required within 6-months of hire. Salary range is $3,614 – $4,316. Position is open until filled, 1st Review: April 3, 2017.

Parks and Recreation Overhire
The City of Airway Heights Parks & Recreation Department is accepting applications for part time Parks and Recreation Overhire positions. Must have a valid WA State driver's license with one year of driving experience and a basic knowledge of mechanics and maintenance of parks and grounds equipment is desirable. Daily duties may include grounds keeping, purchasing of supplies and materials, and working with work crews. 20-40 Hours/Week. Hours will vary including days, evenings & weekends. Starting hourly wage is $11.00 and goes up to $15.00 DOE.
