Infraction vs Criminal

Infractions/Green Tickets or E-Tickets

YOU MUST RESPOND WITHING FIFTEEN (15) DAYS FROM THE DATE ISSUED.   If you choose to mail your ticket in please make sure you have your full correct address and legible signature on the back of it.  This is a non-criminal offense for which you cannot go to jail. 

If you fail to respond the infraction will be found committed, an failure to appear will be issued and an additional penalty may be imposed and sent to our collection agency.  It will also be sent to the Department of Licensing where they may suspend your license.

You will make a choice:

1.) I have enclosed a check or money order.  If you make this choice you are not required to come in person.

2.) Requesting a mitigation hearing.  You want to explain the circumstances and are requesting a court date be mailed to you.  Please make sure your address is correct and legible.

3.) Contested Hearing.  You want to challenge the infractions.  And are stating that you did not commit the infraction.  You must be present for this hearing.

We also have a mitigation by mail available.  If you are unable to come to court you can request a mitigation by mail by filling out the form and following the instructions:

 

Criminal Ticket/E-Ticket  (Yellow or White)

If you have been issued a criminal ticket it is a Mandatory Court Appearance.  You are required to COME in and sign for your court date.  No one can come in and sign for you, you must appear in person 15 days from the date the criminal citation was issued. 

If the Mandatory Court Appearance is marked you must appear on that date and time.  Assault 4th Degree D.V. and D.U.I.'s are Mandatory Court Appearance's that an officer will give to you with the date and time already on the ticket.

If you fail to respond within the allotted time; a warrant may be issued for your arrest and the Department of Licensing notified of your failure to appear.
