 SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM

For the Seniors in the community we offer a weekly senior lunch program that serves as an excellent opportunity to come in and enjoy a meal and interact with other people that have similar interests and hobbies.

Lunch is only $3.00. Served at 11:30pm every Tuesday at the Airway Heights Community Center (13120 W 13th Ave - Airway Heights, WA 99001)

SAIL - Stay Active & Independent for Life - SAIL is a strength, balance, and physical fitness program for adults 65 and older. Performing exercises that improve and maintain strength, balance, and fitness are the single most important activities adults can do to stay active and reduce their risk of falling.
Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays   Time: 9:00am to 10:00am

SAIL SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

Mondays: Ping-Pong – Work on your balance and coordination while enjoying this fun tabletop game!

Fridays: Bocce Ball – Learn to play this great lawn game and help work on your balance and arm strength. 


 

Movie Day- Join the Senior Movie Club and enjoy member picked classic movies following our Tuesday Senior Lunch meal.   Dates: 6/27, 7/25, 8/22   Time: Approx. 1:30pm

 TRIPS
 All trips depart from the Airway Heights Community Center and require Pre-Registration

JOHN A FINCH ARBORETUM  Join us as we revisit our first trip as a Senior Program! See this amazingly kept park space with roughly 2000 trees, bushes, and flowers; all while enjoying the sound of the creek that runs through the property. Picnic lunch included!

SPOKANE’S FARMERS MARKET - See what fresh products area farmers and merchants have to offer at the Spokane Farmers Market Downtown. Vendors will bring a variety of items such as baked goods, meats, eggs, cheese, honey, and plants.

LEFEVRE STREET BAKERY- See what all the hype is about at Lefevre Street Bakery, enjoy a nice breakfast at Medical Lake’s quaint little breakfast spot.

MANITO PARKSee all that wonderful Manito Park has to offer! The Japanese Gardens, Rose Garden, duck pond, and much more. During our park visit we will swing by the Park Bench Café for breakfast or a snack.

GEUST SPEAKERS & PRESENTATIONS
All presentations are held at the Airway Heights Community Center

ED NEWMAN -  Distinguished Toastmaster, Fairchild Toastmaster’s Club - We all know we’re never too old to learn. Listen to Ed share his fun and enlightening story of going back to college and earning his bachelors degree 40+ years after dropping out. Ed will talk about his experiences, his observations and what he has learned along the way.
