 SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM

For the Seniors in the community we offer a weekly senior lunch program that serves as an excellent opportunity to come in and enjoy a meal and interact with other people that have similar interests and hobbies.

Lunch is only $3.00. Served at 11:30pm every Tuesday at the Airway Heights Community Center (13120 W 13th Ave - Airway Heights, WA 99001)

ACTIVITIES
Senior Drop-In  – Tues, Wed & Thur 9:30am to 2:00pm

The Community Center is available for seniors to play cards, board games, work on jigsaw puzzles, play pool, watch TV/movies or just gather and enjoy a cup of coffee and chat.

Stay Active & Independent for Life Program (SAIL Program) – Mon, Wed, and Fri - 9:00am to 10:00am.
SAIL is a strength, balance, and physical fitness program for adults 65 and older. Performing exercises that improve and maintain strength, balance, and fitness are the single most important activities adults can do to stay active and reduce their risk of falling. 

Bingo – Dates: 3/15/17 – 4/19/17 – 5/17/17 (3rd Wednesday each month) Time: 10:00am-11:30am Cost: Free
Bingo with donated items given out to winners. Donate items such as household knick-knacks, baked goods, board games, crafts, etc. Please no clothing donations.

Movie Day – Movie Dates: 3/28/17 – 4/25/17 – 5/23/17  (4th Tues of every month) Time: Approx. 12:30pm
Join the Senior Movie Club and enjoy member picked classic movies following our Tuesday Senior Lunch meal.



 TRIPS
 All trips depart from the Airway Heights Community Center and require Pre-Registration

Spokane Home & Garden Show - Date: Wed. March 10th   Time: 11:30am    Cost: $8   Register By: Tues March 7th   View over 300 exhibits showcasing popular trends in home and garden, DIY projects, and the new Tiny House craze. Lunch at the Davenport Grand Hotel. Lunch not included in registration.

Beauty & The Beast @ AMC – Date: Thur. March 23rd Time: 12:00pm Cost: $12 Register By: Tues. March 21st  
 Enjoy the Live Action remake of the popular Disney original movie in the new reclining seats at the River Park Square movie theater. Seats must be reserved, so please be sure to register early.

Inland NW Rail Museum -  Date: Thurs. April 20th   Time: 11:00am      Cost: $7       Register By: Tues. April 18th    
Visit and enjoy Washington's newest transportation museum located in Reardan, WA. Operated by the Inland Empire Railway Historical Society this museum displays the preservation of the railroad history of Eastern Washington and the Inland Northwest. Lunch stop at the Highway Café before the Museum. Lunch not included in registration.

Fire Lookout Museum -  Date: Thurs. May 25th    Time: 10:00am   Cost: $3     Register By: Tues. May 23rd    
Located in North Spokane at the home of the Ray & Rita Kresek, the Fire Lookout Museum is home to 19,000 historic relics related to wildfire detection; from lookout towers, to possibly the world’s largest collection of Smokey Bear treasures. This museum is a true treasure trove of history. Lunch stop at Golden Corral. Lunch not included in registration.


GEUST SPEAKERS & PRESENTATIONS
All presentations are held at the Airway Heights Community Center
Care Cars & Caregiver Support Program -   Date: Tues. March 7th     Time: 12:15pm     Cost: FREE 
Staff from Frontier Behavioral Health – Elder Services will present some wonderful information on programs benefiting individuals caring for loved ones, those needing transportation to medical appointments, and those of you who would like to volunteer your time in a meaningful way in your community.
