Reporting to the City Manager, the Director of Finance is responsible for managing all activities of the Finance department, assuring that proper internal controls are in place to safeguard the City’s assets, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of the City’s financial results. The Director Finance also serves as the Clerk Treasurer. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in municipal or other local government finance management, accounting, fiscal reporting, and budget development. Salary Range is $6,941 - $8,333/month DOQ. Minimum Qualifications: This positions requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. ; CPA certification is strongly preferred; eight (8) years of accounting experience, including expertise in governmental fund accounting, including supervision; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required for the position.

Salary: The salary range for the Director of Finance is $83,292-$99,996 annually. Placement within the range is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Health Insurance: City contributions to health are dependent upon your medical enrollment. Current monthly family contribution toward medical coverage is $1,716.

Retirement: Employees are enrolled in Plan 2 or Plan 3. Employees enrolled in Plan 2 receive a retirement benefit based upon the following formula: 2% x service credit years x Average Final Compensation = monthly benefit. Employees enrolled in Plan 3 receive a retirement benefit based upon the following formula: Defined benefit: 1% x service credit years x Average Final Compensation = monthly benefit.

Schedules and Time Away from Work: Flexible work schedule and compressed workweek is available, 12 days of vacation per year increasing to 21 days after 16 years, 12 days of sick leave annually, and 15 paid holidays.
